Reply with your name, what you prefer to be called, and recommend a well-written TV show or movie that we are all missing out on.

I’m Jeff Salbato (your teacher), but I prefer Jeff. You only need to introduce yourself in one of these sub-topics, but, because I’m the supposed leader here, I’ll post in all of them…
TV shows you’re missing: Rectify, Silicon Valley, Newsroom, Happy Endings, Ted Lasso, Masterchef Australia, and the best show of all time: West Wing.

Amy Vaisa
Hello everyone! My name is Amy Vaisa but you can call me Amy. I have to put Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul on this list because they are absolutely amazing. Other shows that you are missing out on are Mayor of Kingstown, Nurse Jackie, Mindhunter, Ozark, Inside Man and my grampy’s favorite, Columbo.

Alissa Brown
My name is Alissa Brown. I mostly dabble in mindless TV that I cannot, in good conscience, recommend, but I really enjoyed the American Crime Story series produced by Ryan Murphy. If you choose to watch them, start a note on your phone and write down the questions you want to Google. Do not Google anything related to the story until you have let the show tell it in its entirety. The storytellers are, wildly enough, quite accurate, and you simply have to let it unfold.

Tatyana Quintana
Hi I’m Tatyana, (Taty) I recommend
* Six Feet Under, it is one of my absolute favorite shows. it’s on HBO Max now. It’s about a family that has a business running from their home, which is a funeral home and they deal with death on a daily basis but it also shows each family members lives and what goes on personally with them. There are some good stories in that show.
* If you’re an anime fan I loved Berserk. I think it may be on Crunchyroll but I watched it on Youtube a long time ago and fell in love with the art of the show and manga. It is very dark so I know it may not be for everyone. It’s a fantasy horror midevil theme that has main characters Guts and Griffith were pals but that ended as soon as Griffith sacrificed his whole crew The Band of the Hawks to the demonic God of Hand. Theres a lot more to it but I’ll leave it at that.
* Mind Hunter is on Netflix there are only 2 seasons so far I believe but it is a psychological show, these 2 psychs try to uncover the ways the mind works from by interviewing serial killers.

Analis Frampton
My name is Analis Frampton, but you could call me Ana. Personally I think everyone needs to watch All American at least once, or 100 times like me. I also love the show Manifest, if any of you are into thriller and mystery, this should be right up your alley.

Diego maestas
Hello, My name is Diego Maestas but you can call me Diego. i watch a decent amount of action shows but personally i would recommend watching The Boys and Vikings. Vikings is a longer show but is really interesting through out the whole series. but i also recommend shows like gravity falls and shows from when i was a kid like Malcom in the middle.

Diego,
I can’t believe I still haven’t starting watching “The Boys” … what is wrong with me? It sounds so good. -

Aaris
Hey everyone my name is Aaris Holmes and a good tv show I would like to recommend would be “Breaking Bad”. I’m sure almost everyone has seen it but I think it’s a good show that if you haven’t seen you should!

Alina Christensen
Hi everyone,
My name is Alina. I’m more of a movie person than a TV series person. But some of the few TV shows I’ve watched beginning to end have been House MD, Avatar the Last Airbender (but only Aang’s gang) and a comfort show of mine is We Bare Bears. I’ve seen a few anime series but my favorite has been Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End.

Alina,
One subject I teach is diagnostic reasoning, and “House MD” is one of the only medical/crime shows that actually gets the reasoning process right. And I just love character-driven writing like that, beyond my diagnostic fetish.
